Cost for teams: 

• U12:  $1850 - Regional Schedule Nov - March
• U13/U14: $2750- AAU Nationals NOT included - teams may elect to go to Nationals for additional $450.  
• U15-U18: $3600 including AAU Nationals

Fee also Includes:

• U12:  At least two, 1.5 hour practices per week Nov - March-  @George Mason Freedom Center or K-Sports Complex!
  • 4 - 6  Local Tournaments and one Travel Tournament Optional- Schedule TBD.
• U13-U14:  At least two, 2 hour practices per week November - April - At Virginia Volleyball Factory, George Mason Freedom Center, or K-Sports!
  • 6 - 8  Local & Travel Tournaments - Schedule TBD.
• U15-U18:  At least two, 2 hour practices per week October 15th - June 25th- At Virginia Volleyball Factory or George Mason Freedom Center!
  • 9 - 11  Local & Travel Tournaments - Schedule TBD.
• Optional additional practices, clinics, & scrimmages.

USAV Age Definitions (Click here for complete list):

• 18 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2006 OR Players who were born on or after July 1, 2005 and a high school student in the twelfth (12th) grade or below during some part of the current academic year are eligible to compete on 18 and under teams.
• U17 - Players who were born on or after July 1, 2007.
• U16 - Players who were born on or after July 1, 2008.
• U15 - Players who were born on or after July 1, 2009.
• U14 - Players who were born on or after July 1, 2010 OR Players who were born on or after July 1, 2009 (15 years or younger) who shall neither have completed nor are in a grade higher than the eighth grade (8th) during the current academic year will be allowed to participate at the USA Junior National Championships on 14 and under teams.
• U13- Players who were born on or after July 1, 2011 OR  Players who were born on or after July 1, 2010 (14 years or younger) who shall neither have completed nor are in a grade higher than the seventh grade (7th) during the current academic year are eligible for a Region approved waiver to compete in the boys 13’s age group.

Athletes must pre-register before attending tryouts.  Tryout registration fee ($35) allows you to attend one or all tryout sessions.  Tryout registration form must be filled out by Parents of athletes with the parent's SportsEngine (family) account.  Click here for detailed instructions.

NOTE:  To tryout for a  Club Team, you must be registered as a current (2024-25) member of USA Volleyball and will need to show proof of this to attend our tryouts (and any tryouts in our region).  To register for USA Volleyball, please create and login to parents SportsEngine account (needed for this registration too) and follow the instructions at this link to create a "Household" account and register your athletes with USAV.     Once you have the Parent/Household account and a child account created, click here to buy them a USA Volleyball membership.  You only need to purchase the "Limited Membership --> Junior TRYOUT 10 day" membership ($25), which can be upgraded later to a full CHRVA/USAV membership ($55) if your son chooses to join a team.   

Finally, you will need to bring the USAV YOUTH & JUNIOR VOLLEYBALL PLAYER MEDICAL RELEASE FORM completed and signed to tryouts.
